ANITA   AITKEN-TAYLOR

FINANCIAL ADVISER

EDUCATION

I was educated in my home country of New Zealand, and decided to upskill myself as a mid-aged adult  over a period of 5 years whilst raising a young family, and through the extra-mural process at Massey University,  I graduated in 2010 with a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies endorsed in Personal Financial Planning and Personal Risk Management. This allowed me to be Level 7 qualified in the Financial Services industry in New Zealand, and eventually added the inaugural Certified Life Underwriter and then the highly intense Certified Financial Planner through the internationally recognised  IFA or  Institute of Financial Advisers. In NZ IFA is now known as FANZ.

EXPERIENCE

I have been working for the same company since April, 2010, though it has changed its name over the years, through mergers and acquisitions. I am a minority shareholder employer of what is now known as Lifetime,    and through my practical experience with my clients as well as my qualifications, has enabled me to help my clients to transition through their life stages to keep on track financially. I work in the wealth space, risk space, and retirement & financial planning area and I love to help make a positive change in my clients lives.

Leisure Activities

What you won't find out till you know me personally, is that I am a creative. I love to crochet, and love colour. You should see our eclectic interior of our home. I love health and wellness as I try to wholeheartedly age gracefully. A healthy way of eating with low carbs and lots of fresh vegetables, and mobility exercises like yoga, pilates, and walking the dog. Meditation is added to the daily routine mix.  I love reading on my Kindle to have an imaginary escape, and then travel to yoga retreats and exotic sunny locations is always in the wings, with adding some form of carbon credit reduction to the long distances airmiles - when it happens which is not often as my home country in itself has so much to offer amongst our spectacular scenery and outdoors lifestyle scenery. I am long-time married with three adult children living in a coastal community. Our oldest daughter has shaped my life to understand the needs of living with multiple disabilities, and with me being such an empath, she has helped me be a better more rounded person to know that life does not always go to plan.

I have been dealing with Anita Aitken-Taylor for many years now and always find her advice reassuring, informative and valuable. Anita is particularly good at reaffirming I must not get the "wobbles" during periods of market uncertainty. I trust her guidance and feel confident that her advice is genuine and for me in the long term. Thanks Anita for being a steady hand and a friendly face to investment."

Anita is very professional and organised. She has been reassuring in the hard times (!) and rational in the good as well as always being prompt in her communications with us. My wife and I have both enjoyed meeting her over a number of years and we feel very happy with the service she has provided. A relaxed, personable and very pleasant adviser.
